walking foot for Viking 190

Hi Everyone,

I have a walking foot that I purchased last October and used only to sew binding on a quilt.

My 35 yr old machine finally gave out, which was very bad timing, indeed.

If anyone is interested in it, please let me know. I paid $85 for it.

Hello to all,

I have a room full quilting items, pretty much anything you can think of. My mother was an avid quilter for 30 plus years and after that amount of time you can imagine she has everything there is to do with sewing/quilting. She also has a variety of knitting and crocheting tools as well. Multiple sewing machines, lots of fabric, thread, quilting books and magazines, plenty of patterns, as well as about 7 different quilts half finished. All items at this time must go, nothing has a price, whatever seems reasonable for an item. We live in the CT area.

Crazy Quilt fabric for sale

I have many used wedding and brides maid gowns that would be great for crazy quilting. I have packed full several medium sized flat rate shipping boxes from the post office . The boxes include shades of white and cram satins and silks and many colors of satiin fabrics. I have also included many lace trims and beaded appliques from the wedding gowns, many heavily encrusted with seed pearls.. (These woudl be great for embelishing. ) Most pieces are at least 6 inch square or larger. I would like to sell for $15 plus shipping ($12.35 flat rate). If you want more yardage in your pieces, I can pack a larger box for you. If you prefer less, please let me know and I can put together zip lock bags of any size. Below are pictures of what you will find in the med size box. There are many more colored piceces of satin than what is showing in the pictures.

For sale - Grace sturdy lite frame - still available

This is a rarely used, like-new condition Grace sturdy lite frame for use with a home sewing machine or straight stitch "short arm" machine (I had an 11" throat space Baby Lock straight stitch machine on it). The frame did not come with leader cloths so I made them from ticking fabric. The frame comes with bungee cord clamps for the sides of the quilts and table inserts for working with pantographs.

The frame is about 8.5 feet wide and 3 feet deep. You can quilt up to a 4.5" block.

I would prefer to sell it locally (I live on the northwest side of Chicago). Purchaser would be responsible for pick up. The frame can be taken apart if needed. I have all the original paperwork, including assembly instructions. I paid about $450 for the frame, table inserts & ticking fabric and am asking $250 or best offer. You have the option of doing free motion quilting or computerzied quilting. The creative touch comes with many designs already preloaded. You can also purchase designs from various places.

Because this system is so versitile, you can also do pantographs with paper patterns. The Grace frame is also versatile; it can be setup for a 5ft frame or a 10ft frame. Basically you can quilt a crib size quilt all the way up to king size. I have done all different sizes on this frame.

tools - twister for 6.5 square

I am looking for a tool that I used a few years, originally was handmade for a class I took on pinwheels. It's been about 6-8 years ago. there's now a Twister tool out for making pinwheels but all I can find are 5" and 10" squares. I'm using 6.5" squares. and now, I can't find my tool since we moved.

Has anyone ever used this size?

Do you know anyone that could make me one?

Have you made a Sudoku quilt? I made one last April for my new grand from the pattern by Wendy Butera for QFK. I produced 11 quilt kits to send to Quilts For Kids here in Houston, however, after several attempts to locate contact person responsible for mailing them out, I finally gave up. These kits are complete, with a copy of the free pattern instructions. I did make a chart in EXCEL because I needed a visual to follow. To the quilt for kid’s specification, all fabrics were prewashed, pressed and cut, bagged ready to sew. Only needs a flannel backing, no batting needed. kits are cut using snuggle flannel fabrics from Joann’s.

If anyone wants a kit to sew for your family or as a shower gift, I will send kit to you for just $30. Including the shipping.
what’s included; 9 fabrics x 9 pieces each, sashing, borders, instructions and a copy of my layout.

NOTE; It really is a fun pattern to make, and relatively easy as long as you mark your stacks with #’s you will have a true Sudoku puzzle. HOWEVER, if you make a mistake or just stitch them into 9 patches, who the heck is going to know the difference.

Hi Everyone

I would like to try machine quilting, but my 25+ yr old Viking 190 doesn't have a walking foot. I do not want to buy a new machine and can't find a foot to fit it. Does anyone have one of these little beauties lying around?
