So many scraps so many ideas to use them!

I like this method and have made tons of kids quilts using crumbs.

Its really fun to include bits and pieces of fabric from other quilts in their home and let them discover them and tell you about finding them like my great nieces do.

I have also used crumbs as borders, here is an example of a spider web quilt made from salvages, bordered with crumb blocks,  this went onto be donated to QOV .  It is truly  a great use for those small bits of fabric.

I love that quilt.  You are quite right, crumbs are a great way to use up those little bitty bits of fabric.  I always think of crumb quilts as "Freebies" because by the time the fabric is small enough to be used as crumbs, I've already been able to get full value out of the fabric on another project!  Sometimes I will use crumb blocks made up with the leftover fabric from a project to make the border on that project!

PLUS, crumb quilts look FABULOUS!  Although I haven't made a spider web quilt yet!

Cheers, Dionne
