I am just freezing to death reading all your posts. As much as I would have loved to join you all in Branson. I am just so thankful I cancelled out early as I could never do the snow scene. I was in Biloxi last week and drove home thru the Panhandle in driving rain and fog and that tied me in knots. Can't imagine what snow would do to me anymore.
You girls (and guys) all travel safely, take your time, arrive safe and sound and have lots and lots of fun!
Kathy
Safe travels to everyone.

Nana, should I bring any particular thread for the machine I'll be using? I have mostly Gutermann but could pick up some Aurifil or whatever your machines like best
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Woo, hoo! Today we traveled through Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, into Arkansas and never saw a bit of wild weather. We're settled into Blytheville, AR, tonight and I hear a lot of thunder. Radar shows a big thunderstorm coming through, but temps will stay above freezing, so all is good! Radar also shows the snow is already reaching St. Louis, so I'm very glad we came through there as early as we did. We're sticking to the freeways which is boring but fast.
Talk to you all again tomorrow evening! Is everyone packed? I have extra Aurifil along, Judy, so you're good. Safe travels, Karla. Six days? Not planning on putting on too many miles a day?

Edit: Never mind, Karla. I just looked up Fernely, Nevada. Whoa, that's a long haul!
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
packed? isn't that what i'm supposed to do at the last minute, so's to drive sam nuts?
You mean like Randy drives me nuts with his driving by waiting until the last second to move over to the right lane to catch our exit???
that must be a guy thing.
MNnancy: You mean like Randy drives me nuts with his driving by waiting until the last second to move over to the right lane to catch our exit???
OMG, it must be a man thing! Two miles ahead I tell George "this is exit only, you'll need to merge left". Un hun. At the last minute, as the exit looms, he starts to cuss trying to squeeze the RV over.
Judy
My Bernina doesn't usually complain about anything. I am pretty sure I have used Gutterman in the past. I have just find I really like Aurifil better.
hey all of you ladies it is a man thing,Don used to do that to .i think its ingrained in their blood or something. or they pass it right by after telling them 20 times this is the exit ,and then they blame you for not reminding them sooner . I can't understand why they are like that ..LOL
Definitely a guy thing!!
Anyway today is bill paying day so I don't have to worry while gone, then maybe I can start gathering "stuff" for the retreat. I have a class on Friday morning and Bill decided we would leave about 5:00am on Sat. We should be in Branson around three-ish. Can;t wait to see friends from other retreats and meet all the new faces here!!!!
