If a spot is still open, I'd love to attend. $200.00 for 7 days? Did I read that right? My stepdad was the museum curator at the School of the Ozarks back in the late '70s -- when Branson was a tiny town.

Bring all your sewing goodies ,fabric , dress causal , there is a pool and hottub, Money will be due to me by Jan 2nd WE welcome you be prepared to have lots of fun and laughter and to meet some great people . Barbara.
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Whoopie! I've put it on my calendar and will check here regularly for updates.
Now that I've signed up and am excited about coming, what the tarnation is a quilting retreat? From what I've read on here, it appears to be a free-for-all quilting time in a group together with lots of talking, eating and drinking, but with no set type of quilts to be made or formal presentations? Am I even close? <grin> This forum definitely needs those goofy smilies!
You are pretty much right on the button. There tends to be more chatting and eating than there is sewing...LOL> You bring whatever projects that you would like to work on. We have found that it is easier if we precut everything and sort of make up "kits" to do at retreat. Trying to do all the cutting at retreat can sometimes be a little difficult. Our "formal" presentations consist on everyone holding up their top and saying I finished one...LOL>
Welcome ive never been to a retreat but i know at least Barbara, Gini and Nana have there qualifications in retreats by now because theyve been to soo many, but i am sure you will have a great time, i look forward to meeting you.
lots of love
I am going to have to back out of this retreat. I hate to miss it but I have some conflicts that take priority. Will miss getting to meet everyone.

Im so sorry you wont be there i was looking forward to meeting you.
Oh Jeanine - wah - I am sad you won't be there as I too was looking forward to meeting you.
I do want to see if everyone will celebrate with me - my DH's birthday is while we are there on the 3rd. I was thinking of surprising him and getting a huge cake and putting all the candles on it and us singing to him - if you all are up for it... He would just love that - teehee - I have to research and find a place that makes birthday cakes up there...anyone????
Sounds like fun. Have you considered talking to the people at the hotel. They may would do a cake for you.
