don't know if I'll get any shopping done between OKC and Branson, DH is driving so will see.  He is good about stopping if I ask him to.  Going to spend Sat nite with some friends from our AF days and then meet other friends at Lamberts in Ozark for lunch Sun, so 'll be in about 3:00.  cant wait to meet you all and a little nervous cuz everyone seem s to know one another.  I'm like MnNancy, have had my projects packed for a few days and will do my clothes Thur morning.  need to pack up sewing stuff tomorrow nite.  went out to casino tonight, we get free play $ every month plus free $10 on federal holdays, came home with $45 of their money.

Roxana:

Check out this Web site pasted below. I wonder if anyone would like to go with me to the show on Friday night, February 28.

http://piercearrowtheater.com/about/  looks like it is comedy, music and other - like a variety show.

I would love a show and know DH is always up for a show.  if we can get 15 we get a dscount rate, plus an escort and driver.  Who's in?

Debbie, you don't have to be shy about meeting anyone in this group. very friendly people.  I have only been to one other retreat and already feel like I know so many.  Have a safe trip this weekend and see you there.

Debbie, I am right there with you in that I haven't met these gals either. I feel like I know them from QCA but I understand what you mean.

When you all say that you have your projects packed, just what exactly does that mean? Everything cut out/? or what?

Let's see I have 5 tops to quilt; blue & white star blocks to put together; red & white hearts; HSTs; postage stamp swap you are bringing; and the round robin center, that's all, I think.  No new projects just want to finish something.

We won't be able to set up until Sunday morning, they've booked a marriage retreat in the room for Saturday.  The guys will start getting the tables and cords up for us maybe late sat. Or early sun.   Do you want the same spot by the door, nancy?

Debbie, at our first retreat, only a couple of us had met.  I picked up jacy, on the way, we hadn't met and shared a car for hours.  Nana flew into Seattle and trusted Joyce whom she had never met, to pick her up and put her up for a couple days and show her Seattle before the retreat.     5 of us chose the communal room for sleeping we were climbing over one another to get to beds.  I have never had lass than a stellar time at retreats.  Even though we haven't met in person, we have been chatting for a long time an d know each other through QCA.   Leave your nerves at home, we'll take good care of you.

Oops, just thought of another one to bring.  Has anyone used the Little Twister tool?  I have a top I wanted to use it on but just not wrapping my brain around how it works.  I had a homemade one that was great and cannot find it anywhere, that was my main purpose in cleaning up the sewing room.  It didn't waste any material.  I may bring it and see if anyone can help me understand.

Ok, that's the limit!  Not one more project.

Gini, you make this sound like so much fun and I do wish I had signed up for this because I would so like to meet all of you who have been so helpful to me in answering all of my questions here on QCA.  Maybe one day  some of us who could not attend could join in thru Skype or would that be considered bad form?

Yes, Gini, that worked well last year - out of everyone's way!

Bev, we had several QCA-ers "visit" us via Skype last year during this retreat.  Pop on in!
