Nana:

I like the idea of everyone bringing one purchased or handmade gift to be exchanged.   This always seems to be a lot of fun for everyone.   I have a totally different idea for the sponsored door prize gifts this year.

I think that is a great idea, too, everyone just bring one gift for the drawing.

Working on holiday gifts. Stuck in the house anyway, I will not go out in -20 windchills.  BRRRRRRRRRR!

Hey guys! I've already starting shopping in Branson and Springfield! Found 2 quilt shops today and had a great afternoon until the snow started again. Here for a day teaching at Mercy Hospital.  Tried to run by the Stone Castle but the roads were snowy and icy from the snow already on the ground.

Found the cutest pattern for a camera bag and also sale material.

Michelle

It is a shame that you can't make it to the Stonecastle.   Gini is there this week.

I don't think we have ever put a price range on a gift in the past.   We all just do what we feel comfortable with.

Everyone.....I need to change the final payment date.   I will need your final payment by Jan. 20.    I was thinking check in was Feb 28 instead of 23.    Duh.

I searched back for last year's retreat to find pictures of the exchange gifts to give newcomers an idea of the types of gifts that were brought, but it appears we didn't take a single picture of those.  Anyway, here is the thread for last year's Branson retreat if anyone wants to relive old memories.

I'm in with the exchange.  If there is a dollar limit, just let us know.  I have some great ideas.

I'm in too....do you suppose we can get a final list of what all we are supposed to bring, so that we remember everything?  We've talked about the strip poker game, a gift for the exchange, chairs if needed, some of us are bringing irons, do we need ironing boards, or should we rely on the hotel?   How's the outlets in the workroom?  Are there plenty?   I usually bring extension cords.     I'll bring trash bags because I'm hoping you all will throw your scraps/cuttings in, because we make dog beds for the local shelters around KC.   Of course we'll bring lots of projects!!
