I hope she can come too. I've been speaking to Sara, so she's aware that I'm coming.

This will be my second quilt retreat, my first for QCA. Are there some standard *things* done at the QCA retreats that a newbie might want or need to know? More importantly... how many of you are bringing a bathing suit to get into that hot tub??
Southwest of San Antonio
Absolutely bringing bathing suit!! You might want to bring any snacks you like or wine or whatever you may want to drink like a wine or something. Other than that just bring whatever you want to work on and also casual clothing. Some of us never get out of pj's all day. It is super casual. Also, some of the girls are avid shoppers and will go ut to all the quilt shops they can find, so if you want to go shopping you will need fabric money:) Mary will probably tell you all about it later, but we do have a Trash to Treasures table where if you have something you want to get rid of you can bring iy and put in on the table and everything on that table is free for the taking. Then we also bring one nice gift and we play a game where the gifts are given out. Can't think of anything else special. Just come prepared to have lots of fun, but be careful of the gremlins!
I don't think many of the "gremlins" are coming this year. I am going to miss seeing all of you.
Not as much as we are going to miss you!
Nana:I don't think many of the "gremlins" are coming this year. I am going to miss seeing all of you.
We will so dearly miss you Nana. But life is taking you another direction right now. And the gremlins? You never know where or when they will strike. Their tradition continues with each quilting retreat.
Our Smoky Mountain retreat for 2013 will again be the last full week in June at the Lodge at Douglas Lake. We still have up to 10 spaces left. The cost will be $200.00 and we have 25 spaces. The list is as follows. If you told me you wanted to come when you were here in June or October of this year, please message me and remind me.
The lodge has a 1200 square foot room where we set up our machines and workspace for the week. It's really the perfect venue for a quilting retreat.
Here is who is coming at this point. If I've missed anyone or made any mistakes, please message me.
We will be bringing our own food again and I will assign each room a meal, either breakfast or dinner. Lunch will be leftovers or sandwiches. We will also do our gift exchange and have a trash to treasure table. This was such fun and Sara Wall, who is a member here and the owner of the lodge, is a wonderful, gracious hostess.
We still have room, ladies. Here is the flyer for anyone who wants to post it at their favorite LQS or Guild:

Did Sara tell you that my friend Penny and I will be there on Friday thru Sunday?
I just realized that it is Saturday to Saturday, right?
Yes Faith you right when you say the retreat is from Saturday to Saturday. Hope you and Penny will still be coming???
Mimi, I will DEFINITELY be coming with my pitiful little sewing machine and rag quilts. Please don't make fun of me!!! LOL I will come after work on Thursday, so won't get there until around 7. I am really hoping Penny will come. Will keep you posted!!! When is the gift exchange?
And just heard from Penny that she will be coming too!!!! YAY!!! :)
