There seems to be some confusion about where people are staying in Portland.  This is where I will be

There is no Comfort Inn on Airport way.  The above one is the closest to the airport, the other one is in town.  So the above must be where everybody is staying.

I feel sure that the PNW seafood is really good.   But I have to say the little bay shrimp from the Chesapeake bay are really yummy.   Not very big but so sweet and tender.

I am sure they are Nana. Each area has their yummies that is what makes traveling so awesome. Had a friend once who had a boat company in alaska. One day one of his buddies went out and caught some fresh shrimp. Jumped in his private plane and flew back to walla walla. We were eating fresh shrimp from alaska within hours of it being caught. To this day I have never tasted anything so awesomely fresh! mouth watering now. the only thing that ever came close was buying a ribeye roast, heading to the mountains and cutting fresh steaks of it and cooking over the open pit... I dont know but for some reason my oat bran cereal just isnt cutting it this morning all of a sudden

Patti:
Folks are starting to send me their cell phone numbers.  I can make a list and pm everybody with that list.

Sent you my cell #, Patti.

Made a Costco run today and picked up a bunch of "sort-of" healthy snacks to share.

That was my impression eating shrimp in New Orleans - so very flavorful and delicious!  Nothing like the frozen shrimp that is thawed and sold as fresh around here.

Patti and MnDeb

Diana and I are registered at Comfort Suites at 12010 NE Airport Way at the junction of 122nd Blvd.   According to the map we are between Patti and the water in about the same area.

I don't think any seafood tastes as good after it is frozen.

Looks like they are 2 different hotels.  But they are only 1 1/2 miles apart.   We'll just have to decide which one to meet at.  I guess most of you  will be at the one on Airport  Way.

I thought for sure I was getting the same one a everybody else.  Oh well.  Except for sleeping, we will be together anyway.

So it will be just me and my friend Debbie in my car.  We can drive someone else to the beach, and of course I will help drive folks to Fabric Depot.   I think with gear, 3 people is about all I can hold.  The subaru forester is not as big as my other car.   There might be room for a 4th person in the car.  Just depends on storage space.

Patti, it is the same company isn't it?  Have you tried to switch your reservation?  Just a thought...

So, is DD's future MIL not coming?

The kids are not engaged, (yet) but one can always hope.  No, Catherine will not be able to come after all.  However, she definitely wants to come next year.

I have a suggestion; It may be too late for this retreat but perhaps, in the future, we could use "Pages" for pertinent information about retreats. That way it wouldn't get lost in the chatter and we'll all be on the same page (no pun intended).
