Bonita:a t-shirt that is just a bit risque and I had told her early on if she got it I would wear it at the retreat
Did you see pictures of Marie's bikini t-shirt at the Virginia Beach retreat? It was a hoot and the guys really liked it!

Andrea Dee:it breaks my heart to have to tell you that I just can't make it
Darn, Andrea, I was really looking forward to meeting you.
Nana: Gals I will bring several baggies of shells for all of you that would like some. If I remember correctly the box that I bought was 25 lbs. It was actually a box for shell reloaders. But I have used several lbs just have a pile still left.

If you have plenty I will take some too. I know nothing about making pin cushions with walnut shells but it sounds cool. Thanks, Nana.

Would anyone like a copy of the directions for the chicken pincushion we made at a local quilt retreat? These use walnut shells. I have some funky yarns I could bring.
Nancy
These are really cute. I would love a pattern.

Nancy, count me in. I'll bring some bright and funky fabrics. If felted wool would work for the beaks, I'll bring some of that also.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Nancy, can 2-1/2" strips be used to make these chickens? I have a partial jelly roll of wild kids prints that I'd love to use.
I would like a few if we are going to make those cute little chickens, please!
Yes please. Those are darling! Thank you Nancy!
Barbara, do we have a name or a Motto for our Branson Retreat? If not, can we put our heads together and come up with something? ...or not?
Those are cute Nancy, I would like a pattern.

You can use whatever you like to make the two blocks needed for the chickens. Orphan blocks work well if anyone has some that never found their way into a quilt. And yes, wool would work for the beaks though these were just yellow cotton. I don't have any small beads for the eyes. I'll see if I can find a bag for us.

Nancy, I would love a pattern of the chicken. I have a couple of those pin cushions but have never made one. Sounds like a fun project we could do one day at the retreat.
