Thanks Beth but I'm taking Nanas offer of a loner machine. We fly from Chicago to Bloomington where my sis in law lives. My hubby is originally from Monmouth, Illinois.

Oh Nana, mine? All mine? How special I feel. We may have to get up really really early so we can arrive in Branson mid-afternoon on the 2nd. We figure it's about a 9 hour drive and since we'll still be on Pacific Coast time, getting up early will mean EARLY! But I'll be so pumped to get there that I may just roll George out of bed and into the car and head down the road. Perhaps tie a fat quarter to the car antenna or mirror.

Hey, that's an idea. Everyone that is driving, tie a fat quarter to the car!  While driving through Oregon in October, the freeway was clogged with U of Oregon fans driving to a game with the school colors tied to their antennas.

I agree with Barbara.  These retreats are so much fun that even if you aren't close and you have to travel it is well worth it.  I have went from coast to coast twice so far to attend retreats and it has more than been worth the cost.   Of course if you live close it is even better.

I'm excited because we decided to add New Orleans to our itinerary!  We'll drive from MN to LA before the retreat and give ourselves 3 full days to explore "The Big Easy", and then we'll head back up to Branson on the 2nd which will be a full day's drive, so I might not get in until Saturday evening.  Save me a seat!!!

Nancy, we were in New Orleans about 10 years ago. We loved it and had such a good time roaming the French Quarter. (Until I managed to take a flying dive and slide across Bourbon Street on my face!)

See you in Branson.

SoBuzy. This is a quilting retreat at the Stone Castle Convention Center in Branson, MO. It actually runs from March 2nd through the 8th (heading is incorrect in the posting).

The total  cost is $200 per person, due this month, which includes your room for 6 nights, a breakfast buffet each morning and the sewing room. You bring whatever it is you want to work on and sew sew sew with 20 -30 other quilters from all over the country and Canada.

Barbara is coordinating the event so I'm sure she will be responding to your email soon with more details.
