woo hoo -- I am one of those horrible people who gets almost the same kick out of watching someone else buy things as I would if I bought ithem - well, most of the time anyway. Sooooo, if all you ladies spend big bucks I'll actually save money. LOL Its a win all around.
I will let Kris have the honor of the big purchase this year....LOL> I will have to be much more thrifty on this retreat since I went to 2 other retreats this year. I can hardly wait to see all of you again and to meet the new attendees. I know that I will be happy with any row that has been made. The excitement is definitely building.

i am so anxious for the next week to get over with and my life can get back to semi-normal. i have been finishing a quilt for the quilt show tomorrow, we have had guests, many guests. 5-y-o guests who need to be taken out frogging, at which we were very successful, by the way. that was until i found a leach in the grass. i don't like leaches, yech. sam is in a meeting with the bankers and our older guest this afternoon, this group will leave and two more arrive tomorrow for four days of festival. then everyone leaves next monday, even sam heading for seattle. he'll be there three days and drive back to spokane and catch a plane to branson for 10 days. on monday, i will be able to catch my breath. perhaps i will just nap the first day, oh dang, that's not happening, more swim lessons. oh well, i can sleep when i'm dead. on monday, i can restart on the rows. and my wildflowers. and the volcano quilt. and the harry potter quilt. on second thought, i don't have time to be dead, let alone sleep.

Gini, don't ever slow down....that's how age catches up! I'm worn out just hearing about it!
Maggie
Gini always wears me out talking about all the things she does in a day....LOL
You know, I was thinking, nana, we could have a competition fabric shopping contest. With prizes for the most fabric, most money spent, etc. with activities like, power napping for increasing you spending stamina.
Gini ROFLOL
Maybe we should do the competition on the most square inches sewn.... you know some of these gals make tons of little quilts while some of us make tents.

And would the prizes be more fabric? I'm up for that but I still don't think I could compete with Kris and/or Nana.

We could have a prize for the most self control, for the one who doesn't get any fabric

I have a feeling that no one would win that prize....LOL
Do NOT let me buy any more patterns at Dee's! I have not touched the patterns I bought there last year.
Are we having tea on Tuesday again? Maybe I'll check the antique stores around here for a cool hat.

Nancy,
I just started working on their BOM. I haven't received my final block(s) yet.
As for the fabric buying I can't really comment. No matter what my intentions I will probably be shipping my clothes home once again.
