Patti that is great. Just wanted to make sure it hadn't gotten lost in the mail.

We only have a couple of months and retreat will be here. I can hardly wait....woohoo.
We have a contest for the Pacific NW retreat! Remember Lisa's project last year to get tops/quilts for premies? Well, this year she has 2 ottlights to be given away as1st and 2nd prizes to the best baby quilts/tops made for donation to this project. She will be bringing extra fabric for people to use at the retreat, but you all can get a head start and make one now! Since they are for premies, they do not need to be large, 26 to 36 inches square would be the right size.
I know I need a smaller project to do in order to have a chance to complete something during the retreat. (I get overly ambitious for may abilities and tend to try to do too large a project.) So I am definitely entering this contest.
so here is to fun, giving to someone who needs encouragement and help,
Sounds great. I will have to see what I have in stash for a baby quilt.
Patti, is there any limitation on the color/pattern of the fabric? i have some leftover "Cars" fabric (from the grandsons) that is red and/or brown.
No, no limitation on color/ pattern of the fabric.
Patti:Lisa's project last year to get tops/quilts for premies
I remember last year we just made tops and Lisa did the finish, I think. So this year, if we did one or two ahead of time there's no reason we couldn't finish the quilts, right? I'm in.

Finishing sounds good. Since they are small, it will be easy to do. Good chance to do free motion quilting.
Just to keep you all posted. Lisa is having more problems with her back, her "spinal cage has shifted 4 mm." They will do a CT scan to see if she needs more surgery or can use a soft body cast. She is on bed rest for the time being. She is still planning on coming to the retreat. But if she can't, we will still have the contest and prizes.
Lise, I am sorry to hear about your back and I hope you are better soon. My DH has me out helping him with his shop construction and I did something to my shoulder so I am most anoyed with him and me. So out of shape.
lisa, i hope you get well quickly and join us in leavenworth
