Does anyone know how to find oyt about the retreats , I cant seem to find them...i dont know what ones there are when they are posted and if there is space left in anyoof them. I would like to do one in the pacific Northeast. Thanks for any help.l
Hi Lori. You came to the right place. If you click on discussions you will find postings about the different retreats. Which you obviously did. If you go to the beginning of this thread, you will see more information about the retreat. We are full so far with 1 on the waiting list. It is not until the end of Sept, early Oct so a lot could happen with that list. I could put you as Number 2 on that list if you want. But be sure and "friend" me and give me your phone number so I can keep you up to date with the openings. I think ours is the only one in the Pacific NW for now.

Looks like it will be 20 blocks again, unless we have some cancellations. I plan on making a few extra anyway, in case I want to add them to my quilt. I will probably not do all of them the same. Maybe 6 or 7 of each size. Don't know what I will put on them however. I think I will piece my blocks this year.
I found a pieced bear pattern I really like. 6x6 or 12x12? Then maybe a tree 6x12.

I think I will try to make extra too. At least I have plenty of time to do them if I start soon and it'll be fun to experiment with pp and applique for these blocks.

Yes you do Spud. Put you with Lisa in the room downstairs, closest to the sewing room. It's one of the bigger rooms. 2 queen beds, one in a room of it's own. Don't know if we will get anyone else to use that room. Did you want to bring somebody?

I have been trying to decide the best way and the cheapest. Looks like Amtrak may be my best option unless airfaires drop alot of the next few months.

Nancy, for some reason just saw your post. Thanks. It was one of my first quilts and I got the pattern from the Quilt, Craft, Sew festival. There were a lot of places where I really had to "fudge" the sashing (although at that time I didn't know it was called sashing LOL)
The blocks finished sizes will be 6" 12", etc. We will make them 6-1/2, 12-1/2?????? Inquiring minds want to know -- Don't want to mess up.
Nana, I am still trying to decide my mode of transportation too. The earlier you get your ticket, the cheaper it is and they definitely have a senior discount. If I am able to get a newer car before then I would like to drive, but 1300 miles with at least one overnight stay would be about the same price as Amtrak.
Yes, the 6 and 12 inches refers to the finished size. will need to be and another half inch to allow for seams.
