Barbara:

Thanks everyone for your kind words .I have just been trying to get them done. I'm anxious to make the quilt ..Barbara

Me too Barbara. I love this project. I have the blocks done and the layout and borders figured out in EQ7.  I'm doing them on-point and, right now, it all measures out to be 88 x 88. I kind of prefer lap size so may make two quilts. We'll see. It's set aside until next year.

Oh yes, I am planning on an applique blocks as the center. I had forgotten I hadn't done it yet. Maybe it will be a project to bring to Branson. I like Project 4, Seth Thomas Rose but will have to re-size it to a 14-1/2" unfinished block. Doing the quilt on-point I would use the applique block in the center.

Do y'all think this heart is paper pieced?. It  is sewn on the block rather then sewn IN the block. I just love this. To me, it shows the love this group has for each other in sharing fabric and sending the gift of blocks. In this case, a block with the heart!! I will put this right in the middle of this birthday block quilt. Thanks, so much for this, Jenn!

Barbara:
they are 13.5 unfinished but I'have had them come out at 14 in or bigger

The book says they are supposed to be 14" finished, 14.5" unfinished. Just FYI.
