Well I managed to get some sewing done this weekend and finished my tumbling blocks. I pieced this one like I did block one.

Here's Block five. This one is another hybrid. The corners were paper pieced. The centre machine pieced. I added three corners by machine and the fourth by hand. The sash is done by machine. I like this block. My photo is not true to colour.

Here's block four. This one is a hybrid. Since I did not want to appliqué the centre octagon, as was suggested in the pattern, I hand pieced the triangles onto the octagon centre then added the teal points. I paper pieced the corners (black with green points) then hand pieced set in seams...
