Pinwheel quilt using fabric from grandpa's ties. 

Because necktie silk fabric is lightweight and cut on the bias, the pinwheel "wings" were all Foundation Pieced.  Every other set of wings is pieced from multiple ties fabrics.  Half-square triangle method used to sew to oxford cloth background fabric.
