Thanks everyone.  As he has grown they lay him on the center of the compass and take a new photo every month to see how far his head and feet have expanded on the quilt design.

The backing on the quilt is a batik with sea turtles and the quilting designs have sail boats and suns with fish and water waves.

Gorgeous Jackie! I never would have thought to use an MC in a baby quilt but it works perfectly!
