Kris,

On this rainy, stormy, pain filled day, where my daughter fell on the stairs and sprained her ankle, my son's car broke down, and my dryer quit, I received a squishy little package just for me. Thank you. You package reminds me that tomorrow will be better.

Jan I'm happy my package could bring you a little cheer. I'm sorry for all the mishaps you've experienced. Here's to a better day tomorrow.

Block 1

Thought I'd vamp it up with fussy cutting, had to be careful not to stretch the bias. Think I did a good job (patting myself on the back) lol

Not an easy way to go but I was up for the self challenge.

Jan, so sorry you are having a bad stretch. As I always have to remind myself, this too will pass.

Be well

Linda, I love the fussy cutting. I had looked a a floral print in mind but couldn't figure out how to work it in.

Jan it looks great. I really like the variation too. I like the centre in your first block. It provides a nice pop of contrast.

You Ladies continue to amaze me with your fabric/colour selections.

Thanks Kris and Jan for the compliments.

Jan I agree with Kris about the center of your first block, love it, and the no. 2 block blew me away with the positive-negative colors. Almost looks like a scifi mask. I'm going to rethink my no. 2 block colors. I haven't even started my block 2 yet. I'd better get sewing.

Linda,

It's the mottling in the teal that gives that effect. I was actually surprised when I looked at the finished picture.

Jan - Linda H.  I just saw your blocks.  They are stunning.  Sorry I don't have time to participate right now.  I can't even find my fabric as it all packed up.
