July Block #2

When I finished this block I saw the spinning fireworks that scatter on the ground and then the explosion of fireworks in the sky.

I love it Judy. I'm glad you're able to use those fabrics; they look great here with the purples.

Linda I love your bright choices.

Judy I think I have similar fabrics. I guess I should get myself moving.

Kris fabric arrived yesterday. Thank you so much.

Linda - Your July block is definitely bright and cheerful and your description is right on target.  Love the bright colors

Judy - I love the fabrics you chose as well.  Everything stands out with the contrasts you created

I am so impressed with all the beautiful and unique blocks in this BOM.  Kris, you are doing a phenomenal job of creating the blocks.  You should do a book of your designs.

July block no. 1

Matching the seams gave me fits on this one, but I got it done.

Thank you all for all the compliments. I love the block Judy has done. This seems to be a good block for putting wild patterns together.

Thanks Barbara. I can't really take credit for these blocks since they're not drawn from scratch. Many of the components are from Quilt Pro. I mix and match and modify to suit my needs.

It's beautiful Linda. You do such a fantastic job. I would never have guessed you had any problems with any of them. Your sense of colour is great too.

July 1a block

Normally I take the paper off after finishing each section but this time I left the paper on and sewed following the seam line.

Heard this on a Fons and Porter episode and thought I'd try it. What are your thoughts on this method? I'm torn between the two.
