Up to date this will be the most complicated one ive put on so here goes, the design is original and is supposed to represent a poppyfield, right up to the end i still wasnt sure if this was going to work.

For this one you need 150 hexies whose sides are 1/2 "  http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/hexagonal/.

Now sort through your stash and find some fabric suitable for Tree bark, tree leaves, grass, fencing, cloud, sun, poppies, and sky. This is the amount of basted hexies you need for each tree bark 18, tree leaves 20, grass 8, fencing 24, cloud 6, sun 7, poppies 31, sky 36.

That should keep you going for a while will put on next step tommorrow.

lots of love

Okay so this is what we are aiming for

I used 2 different blues for the sky and two different green fabrics for the leaves just to add a bit of depth to it.

So here we go with the first row, this is the worst row after this everything else just fits in.

Row 1 from left to right 5 bark, 1 poppy, 2 grass, 2 poppies, 1 grass, 1 poppy, 1 grass.

Row 2 is laid out here from left to right 3 bark, 1 fence, i grass, 3 fence, 1 poppy, 3 fence, 1 grass

Here we have both rows sewed together, I sew in a hexagon at a time i find it far easier than sewing 2 rows and then sewing the 2 rows together.

Now for Row 3

From left to right 2 bark, 1 grass, 1 poppy,1 fence, 3 poppies, 1 fence, 1 grass,2 poppies, 1 fence.

Here we are row 3 completed.

Frances I really like this. I'm hoping to get started this weekend. I'm having some health problems lately so need the distraction.

Hi Kris,

So sorry youre having health problems again, wish i lived closer so i could give you a hug. Have you noticed Marie has been very quiet on this one ever since i mentioned that its using 1/2 inch hexies and theres a 150 of them, i think she thinks im going to suck her into doing them. LOL.

lots of love

Frances,

thanks again for taking the time to do this. I really like this one.

I never got around to working on this, or anything else, over the past weekend. The red reminds me of poppy fields. It would have been great for remembrance day.

Kris,

I have to say if i made it again i would use half hexies for the fencing so that it would be more in proportion. I have already started working on next months.

Lots of love
