Marie, I got right on the tumbling blocks yesterday. I was struggling with and frustrated by the basting, but figured it out. I have all 18 pieces basted, and 6 sewn. With the DGD's 15 birthday party here tomorrow, I don't know if I will finish, but I will work on it some every day this week.
You can do it too. just 1 piece at a time.
Well done, why were you frustrated with the basting i know i dont baste through the papers but my sister does.
lots of love
Probably because I was trying to baste in my hand while laying down in bed. ha ha. It worked much better yesterday when I sat at the table for a little while and just did them all.
Jan, hang in the ! Remember to breath between stitches! B-)
Frances, a nice big "Happy Birthday" to you today. A little birdie whispered in my ear and told me this morning! Have a wonderful day whatever you do!
Hugs and kisses!
Good for you Jan. I have company from California coming on Friday so I'm not promising anything. Does it count if I put my workbox next to my chair in the LR so I can at least see my work and do a little while listening to the telly?
Sounds good to me. Every stitch put in is one less than has to be done to finish. I have it right next in my TV viewing area as well.
Not going to get much if anything done today. The 15 year old's birthday party is beginning in about 2 hours. After 4 more hours of 10 to 15 high schoolers, I doubt I will be making much progress.
Thank you Marie, Ive had a very quiet day apart from a couple of hours at the school.
Jan and Marie,
Mine is always by the side of my chair and i frequently do some while watching tv or more listening to tv im the same with my applique.
Frances, Happy Birthday, Dear Friend! XOXOXOX until I can get to the mail!
Happy b'day Frances.
I'm hoping to start block three tonight. I carry my sewing in a pencil box and sew while waiting for patients. The past few nights have been really busy but I'm hoping tonight will be different.
Thank you for your birthday wishes, nothing exciting today did bake a couple of cakes to take into school, which were much appreciated.
Kris, have you not told your patients to ease up so you can get your sewing done.
I've tried telling the ED not to order any tests but they won't listen. I managed to get the first flower done and will start another after this dinner break.
Kris, What do you do in the ED? I'm a semi-retired RN, doing a bit of traveling while teaching classes in the OR, Cath lab and ICU.
Frances ,I'm so sorry I missed your birthday . so Hear is a belated happy birthday from me .. Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
