Barbara:that is the mark on HP forehead and that is the only place I think it should be
Barbara,
if you want to leave it out that's fine. I think the designer was trying to make this bookshelf personal to Harry. The book could be his journal and you could embroider his name on it.
You don't have to include every element if it doesn't feel right to you.
Will you leave it plain or add something of your own choosing?
I'm going to add something ,I'm just not sure yet what it will be yet, I just knew that in all the books and the movies , that mark only appears on Harry, Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I look forward to seeing what you come up with Barbara.
Joy and Marque,
I love your blocks. I think you did a terrific job with the glasses.

WOW...your blocks are great. I like the spider web fabric on book. Where on earth did you find the fabric with the witch's hats....very cool. The glasses were a bit of a challenge but I am glad to see that we are all making it through with them. Your Hedwig is so neat. I would like to see a picture of him with the lights off...I bet he just glows.

Is the fang also made of the glow in the dark fabric?
Thank you all for the nice words about my blocks. This is really a fun project.
Pretty blocks Zsofia. Your background fabric is so dramatic. I love it.
For week 12, I used the Riddle diary and Basilisk 5" block from the fandom stitches site and enlarged it 160%. This evening I will do some book titles embroidery. The background is the same in both these blocks, just different lighting makes one look different.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Marque - thanks for the comments. I will try to take a picture of Hedwig in the dark and post it. The fang is not going to glow I try to not over use glow in the dark fabric so here I used a very light batik. The fabric with the witch's hat is from fabric.com and called : Merlin's Dragons wizard in ocean blue.
Judy - I love your week 12 block.
Kris: Pretty blocks Zsofia. Your background fabric is so dramatic. I love it.
Thanks Kris. I love that fabric too it's from Paula Nadelstern's: Deja Vu collection.
Zsophia, you've done a great job on your blocks, I like your background fabric
