Very nice Barbara. I like how the star stands out against the dark background. Very nicely done.

Barbara

I am working on this one right now.   I have the first quarter done.  Have actually been doing this one on Tinkerbell.  She is sewing like a dream.

Terrific Block!!  Barbara.

I am still working on the first one.  I thought I knew what I was doing when I started but I keep doing dumb stuff eg. cut pieces too small, put colors on in wrong order, put a piece on upside down.  I'm sure there is some other dumb thing that I could do but I'm hoping that this is the complete list. LOL  So I'm going to pick out a few more stitches and fix the last 2 sections.  Then I'll see what other trouble I can get myself into as I try to put the pieces together.

I have learned a few lessons.  After all that is why I'm doing this right?

1)  I need to cut my pieces big and just get over the 'waste'.  I know, I've been told this multiple times before but it is hard for me, but I think I'm just about there. ;o)

2)  I  need to stack the pieces in the proper order for each segment before I start to stitch

3)  I need to be careful for a while about using fabrics that are not much different from one side to the other.

Boy I sure hope it turns out to be the right size when I get done.  Oh well what is the worst that can happen?  I have to make another?  Somehow, I have the feeling that the Harry Potter blocks will be easier but, that remains to be seen.... 8-)

Happy Quilting

Dara Beth

I find that it helps if I write on the paper which color goes in each section.  That way when I am sewing it together I am less likely to pick up the wrong color to sew on.
