Your blocks are all so wonderful. I'm going to give PP a try one of these days, you have inspired me.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Judy,
I undersatand you were probably really frustrated with these but they look great. I agree with Max, the lighthouse doesn't look wonky to me and I love the lobster.
I still haven't gotten my book. That's not the only thing I've ordered that hasn't arrived. Having mail issues.
judy, don't sweat the small stuff, your blocks look great,

jan, i was new to paper piecing, too, when we started the harry potter quilt. i had done a few very simple paper pieced blocks and hated it. i decided i needed to learn, once and for all, how to paper piece so i joined HP. a week ago, i would have told you i still hated it, but i picked up the last three blocks since and finished all the blocks to the quilt. i think i am getting hooked. there are enough simple blocks with harry potter to get a beginner started.
i am putting the title on the books now and hope to get it together next week. i'll post pictures when it is together.
and, jacy, thanks for the jelly beans they worked perfect
Hi,
I know that I have been off of posting for awhile, I had a few medical issues lately and have not been quilting much. Today I had a biopsy of a cyst on my right breast. And guess I will find out by friday what happens with it.
But I was wondering if anybody has a link to small PP patterns. 3"-4" I can't do anything large right now because of soreness, but I would love to make a few smaller ornaments this week to add to my gifts. And to keep my mind off of more serious things.
Thanks ahead of time.
Deb
Debbie,
there are Christmas blocks in "Pages". They might be what you're looking for.
Thanks Kris... I found a few cute ones.

What is the best paper to use for PP. Where can I buy it?
Thanks Michelle.
Michelle I just use paper from my printer , I don't have any problems with it . but if you want to use something different Velumn paper is really good . You can get this a most quilt shops . Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I buy mine from the LQS or JoAnn fabrics. Usually Carol Doak's brand. No preference really. You should be able to tear the paper easily after it has been perforated by your needle and thread.
I love paper piecing so go through ALOT of paper. I've tried vellum & copy paper and I like Carol Doak's brand too, but you can't beat the drawing paper at Hobby Lobby that's in the children's craft area for the price. It works great too. It's easy to see through & to remove. If it's stubborn, then you can spray it with a little bit of water & the paper comes off easily. I do have to cut the packet down to size to fit my printer tray, but that's easy with my paper rotary cutter. It costs anywhere from $1.50 - $2.00. As the others have said, it all comes down to personal preference.
Kris , Do we know just when we are going to start THe Moon Glow Project? I'm just curious .I know you said in 2013,I just want t omake sure if have the right fabric to start. Barbara
Barbara,
I was thinking mid to late January or February. Really depends on how soon after the new year everyone wants to start.

Does anyone know how Debbie is doing? Has anyone heard from her?
