Well here it is better late than never to be fair i had the block done by the 1st of June but then i had tidied up and couldnt find my background fabric, see when things are a mess i can find things when i tidy i can never find anything. This block is nice and simple I made this using the hexagon template on http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/trianglehex.html i think i used 2 inch hexagons and i clicked on the bit which says put a dot in the middle of each hexagon so i used about 12 hexies 3 normal and then the rest cut in half point to point basted and then sewn together how ever you like, then applique to your back ground fabric.

lots of love

I love this Frances. I've been looking at this project again. I have apple core shapes prepared nd I think I'll get this one ready as well.

Thanks so much for sticking with us Frances.

Kris, how do I print all of the sampler blocks for future reference.  I'm going to need some handwork when I go to Florida this year, I won't be taking my machine with me and I thought this would be ideal to do at that time.

Marie you don't have to print them. If you go to pages you'll find links to each thread with Frances' tutorial. I'm assuming you'll be taking your computer or iPad.

Thanks for your answer, thought of that after I posted, Kris.  I'm going to have to have my car shipped next year and don't know if I can store my computer in it or even if I should.  Risky I think?????

Then iPad it is.

You could put your computer in the trunk and lock it if you're comfortable with that.

I used my sewing machine very little this year but it was there.  Big decisions to make?  Thanks for the heads up on printing the shapes, would've forgotten to do that.  ; (

Marie is your small machine light enough to take on the plane as a carry on?

It's Diane's but I wouldn't want to carry it on the plane.
