Finished June block 3. I changed it slightly by alternating dark and light in the center points and really liked the look. Then, I took a photo, loaded it to the computer and realized I had switched the dark and light strips in the log cabin portion and the design is reversed. Guess it doesn't matter all that much.

Here is my block.  I guess I've been away from paper piecing too long because I had nothing but problems with this one.   I must have taken each of the units apart at least once (sometimes twice) and then I had to take it all apart after putting it together the first time.  After all was said & done, I still had a mistake, but was too frustrated to take it apart again.   It will have to stay as it is. Thank goodness there are no Quilt Police here!

Your block is pretty Patricia.

Sometimes, no matter what we do, a block doesn't want to work. I think you did a nice job with it. I like your colours.

Patricia, your block looks great to me, I have been having the same problems with the second one which I'm still working on,  I hate to even think what this one is going to be like . I hope the next one will be somewhat easier to work on  LOL  Barbara

Just a thought on what works for me with paper piecing.  We have 6 identical segments for each block.  I do all of these segments at the same time.  I sew on line one for all, press for all, etc.   Repetition works for me.  I don't get the sense of accomplishment by finishing one segment at a time, but it saves me from mistakes and goes faster.  Will have a picture soon as I can get my laptop to communicate with the site.  Maybe on Mon when I can talk to someone at the site.

I chain piece like that too Gail.
