Well here is my block one almost finished.

Marie, I really like your fabric choice and I hope your fingers are okay.  Your block is lovely.

Marie,

Nice block and nice Job.  The points were a bit tricky. Read the directions first and it explains it pretty well.  I made it hard on myself and read them AFTER I was done.  It would have been so much easier the right way. LOL

Bev :
I started the first one and then decided I wanted to wait until I have the fabric to make all of the blocks with the same fabric line or at least have fabrics that complement each other.

You can do this and don't worry about the color choices.  :-)  Just cut enough to do one flower, do it and hang it up.  Do another is a different color combination, then a third one.  Hold on............II think I will try this .......I stick with the same color comfort zone as well.  Never mind, have a good day! ;-D

Well here is my block one almost finished.  One more sitting and it should be done.  Cut the papers and fabric for block two, should get started on it soon.  Will be looking for advice on the points which look daunting.

Very pretty!

Marie,

I love your block and your fabric selections are brilliant. The next block isnt as hard as it looks it comes together really easy.

Thanks Melody!  My fingers are okay but that's because it takes me so long to finish a project, a little at a time.

Jan, thanks!  I'll be sure to read the directions first so I'll have an easier time with block 2.  I've stitched a few to the papers but not together yet, hope that's not difficult.

Thanks Frances!  I've started sewing the fabric to the papers for block 2 and those corners look tricky but I'll take your word that they're easy.

Vacation's going great Marie. We return next week July 12. Far too soon for my liking. Tonight kicks off a long weekend of Carnival activities. We'll be partying until Tuesday night (Mardi Gras) if I don't die first. LOL
