I don't want to scare you off Ninete. Each block is slightly more complicated than the previous one but it's a gradual progression. Some of them might require two different techniques.
You can do it. Just take your time. If it becomes too difficult you can repeat one of the easier blocks.

Here's block four. This one is a hybrid. Since I did not want to appliqué the centre octagon, as was suggested in the pattern, I hand pieced the triangles onto the octagon centre then added the teal points. I paper pieced the corners (black with green points) then hand pieced set in seams (I love them).
As I look ahead in the pattern, I see that mixing techniques will be necessary on a few more blocks. I'm loving this project so far. I hope more of you join in. We have the year to work on these so don't be put off by my jumping ahead. I'm trying to do these before I have to buckle down and study for exams.
