Hi Ladies.. i was just checking this out .. Is it too late to join in here? i have never done something like this and i think it would be nice..

Got a question though.. do we have to use the same color fabrics or can we choose other colors?

Have a nice weekend to all.

Big hugs.

i've been wanting to make this quilt too, but I have a hard time justifying buying the kit when I have a UFO list as long as my arm. I'm going to have to look through my stash and see if I can come up with fabrics..................or give in and buy the kit.......... decisions, decisions.

Jacy, another dumb question I should know....where do you buy kits. I've seen several people talk about buying kits.

Lisa,

you can use your own fabrics. I broke down and bought the kit when I couldn't find 27 fabrics that were just right in a timely manner.

Search online you'll find places that sell the fabrics.

Jinny Beyer has a kit on her website, Plum Creek Quilts also has a kit (cheaper than JB's), PM Quilting has one too.

Some quilt shops are doing it as a BOM and other sell the fabrics. You could purchase enough to make a few blocks and go from there if you like.

I got my kit from PM quilting ,it was only 180.00 for the whole kit ,minus backing. Of course you still have to pay shipping ,and they got it to me very quickly. Barbara

Here's my block #1

I'm using fabric from my stash, so hopefully it will all look OK in the end.

Love what you have done with your own fabric.  I ordered the fabric from Plum Creek which is not cut into block kits.  I will also be using some of my own fabric for blocks.  I'm going to start with the block 12 so that I have the "boring" ones done first.  Am about 2 weeks away from getting started.  Will keep you posted, but love what you are doing with your stash fabric.

Beautiful job Jacy.  With blocks like this one, it can't be anything but a fabulous quilt.
