Kris: Thanks Robin. Most days I wonder why I'm doing this. It's hard with a full time job and so much I want to be doing.

I'm sure it is. At the time I was working on mine I taught all day went to class in the evening. School was an hour one way. When I had my first child I had all of the course work done. I wanted to switch from a thesis to a project and the professor wouldn't let me so I quit. Wish now I hadn't mainly because that first child is now 21 and working on her master's. I'm very thankful she has listened to my advice to get it now instead of waiting until later.
Robin
Robin,
I do school in the am them work at night. I catch up on email and home work at work when I have down time. I want to quit every day but I'm still going.
ok... I decided on a Crookshanks for block 30. Just not sure if I like this cat. May change it before I put the quilt together. (Of course I would add eyes, nose and whiskers.)
I like the cat Debbie. It will look better to you after you add the finishing touches. Nice work as usual.
I like your cat. I think it' will look great when you get your whiskers and eyes on it.
Debbie,
Good job! Crookshank will look a lot different when you have added some eyes, whiskers, nose, and maybe some front toes. That will help define her from your background. Is this the Crookshank pattern on fandom? It looks almost identical to one on Craftsy paper-piecing patterns. I've been thinking about getting it to use on another quilt.
Max
Max, I think you are right, after I add the details I will decide on if I want to keep her. Thanks. This was a free pattern I found from another web site called Quiltiger, The fandom Crookshanks I guess was not right, so they deleted her. I really wanted a cat... no I needed a cat on my bookcase. Didn't seem fair that all the other 'critters' were on there. So I adapted this one to fit. They have several others too.

This block is a sub for one of the blocks I didn't do. The egg should be all golden but it blended into my BG to much. But I love the way it turned out. Used music for my book too.
Debbie, love your "golden" egg. Beautiful block. The musical note is a perfect touch.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
WOW! Love the Golden Egg!! Good choice to go with the whiter fabric for the contrast. The musical note is perfect!
Thanks so much Max and Judy... one book block to go. :) Gonna plan it out tonight. whooppp!
I love the egg Debbie. Fabulous green fabrics.
Nice job. Love the egg!
Thank you Kris and Robin. :)
