Block 5
Mineral Wells, West Virginia
Block 13
Judy,
your blocks are fabulous. I like your addition go Gryffindor's head in block five.
Judy T-Bellingham:And then there's week 13, the Monster Book. Oh my. I had the "brainy" idea to use a fabric that looks like the pages of the book. Trying to get those lines all going in one direction about drove me nuts. I didn't succeed completely but it will have to do.
I think you did really well. The parts of the lines that are slightly off are in the "mouth" this is because the book is snarling at you. If it were closed the lines would be straight. How's that? LOL.
You've done such a great job with all these blocks. I admire your creativity.
Beautiful blocks Dara Beth. I like the brick wall fabric and the sky fabric. well done.
Dara,
Love the fabrics you choose for your books. The brick pattern is so neat! Like the way you put the rusty orange between the green and blue. makes all three colors pop against each other.
Max

Dara Beth, these are fabulous fabrics. The brick with vines next to the green book is perfect.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Thanks Kris, Barbara and all. It's coming along. There are a couple boo boos in some of the other blocks that I have to fix. Nothing major but definitely must be fixed. My neighbor came over last night to help me with the layout and instantly spotted the problem areas. Thank goodness they are both easy fixes.
Dara Beth,
Great blocks, I love the monster book fabric and the wall fabric is terrific.
Robin
Thanks for the kind words, Max & Kris. These are getting much easier to do. It is teaching me to loosen up and not be so frugal with the fabric :-)
Barbara: I have so much to catch up on when I get back from VB, I'm running behind all of you. Barbara
I have so much to catch up on when I get back from VB, I'm running behind all of you. Barbara
Barbara, you'll be able to catch up fast. I've been feeling that I was behind because I still have one of the April craftsy blocks to finish, and I haven't even started on the April compass block! Oh well. It is only the 11th of the month so there is still plenty of time to get 2 blocks done, right? Ooooohhhh no. I just realized, I've still got block # 6 to do, so now I'm up to 3. LOL I've still got 3 weekends to go. Yep, it's do-able! I have gotten the fabric all cut for the mystery quilt. Woo Hoo! See Barbara you've got company. LOL
Thanks Judy and Robin! That viney brick wall fabric was left over from a quilt I made for my SIL as was the orangey fabric. I'm glad so many of you like it.
