Thanks Kris! I cannot express how thankful I am that you are hosting this group! I can't wait to get started! Heading to a quilt show this weekend and will hopefully get the rest of what I need to start pp!
Thank you for this pattern. I love your colors. I just joined this group. Hope to learn a lot. Happy New Year to everybody!

Thank you for the pattern! I'll get to this one sometime soon, gotta clear out a few UFO's before starting something new - we'll see how long THAT resolution lasts.
Ok, not sure how to get around in the group but, I'll figure it out. What do I need to have on hand to begin learning how to PP? How does this work? Guess you can tell I'm a little confused. I'm not signed up for any classes like some are and I don't have any sort of instructions to work from. Any recommendations??
Sheila, start at the upper right corner. "Discussions" is where we're chatting you'll see different topics there. "Pages" is where I put info like free blocks and links to cool sites. "Media" is where you post photos.
You probably have all the supplies except for the paper. Just looking for foundation paper at your LQS or online. I use Carol Doak's papers mostly and I also use freezer paper.
Thanks for the wonderful feedback everyone. I'm working on some more items.
I'm excited about this. I think I finally have a handle on basic paper piecing. I'm half way through the star block and it's so pretty. Will post a photo later today. Thanks Kris.
Kris, Thank you for the pattern. I just love your star and have already wanted to learn to paper piece - if this old, old dog can learn a few more new tricks. Have to work on UFO wheelchair quilts, but will try to fit this inbetween quilts. Just signed up today.
Love your pattern, Kris. I haven't done any PP for a very long time but always enjoyed it for the most part. Just signed up and will keep track of what you all are up to. Thanks for the great pattern. It is amazing.
kRIS es fantástico encontrar un lugar de pp es una técnica que me gusta mucho. Gracias por el patrón. Me es un poco difícil subir fotos, etc. pero voy a intentarlo cuando lo haga.
You're welcome Ninette. I hope you get it sorted out soon. I'd love to see some of your work.
Thanks Kris. This will be on the top of my pile of things to do this month!
Thanks for the pattern, I can't wait to try it!
Hi I am new to the group, and looking forward to being part of
the group
Welcome Pat.
Kris,
Very pretty, how big are the finished block?
I would like to try some PP after I get the kids quilts all done, but pretty sure I don't want to start with a really small block. :)
I have not used my EQ for a very long time, do they have patterns for PP? I guess I could not be so lazy and look myself, although I did not really figure out EQ before my life got turned around so I would be starting at the very beginning. LOL
Thanks!!!
Love, love, love it! You did an excellent job on it. I love paper piecing too.
Spud,
the blocks are six inches. The centre is 12 x 12. EQ does have paper pieced blocks. When you select the block library you'll see the categories on the left with preview of each block in the window.
Thanks Kris....
Hello everyone, I am new to paper piecing but so far I really enjoy it!
Welcome. Join us in the group discussions. You'll find more projects in "Pages"
