Your quilt looks beautiful!  I would probably add the blue border,  but i would have to lay the fabric along a side to see for sure,  but it looks great the way it is in this pic.

Sharon,

Love your quilt!  I don't think it needs any more borders, the blue binding will finish this off perfectly!  Great job...I think your MQ9 is my favorite!.....so far.....

Maggie,

Is this the famous fishbone quilt?????  I absolutely love it!  Been waiting to see how this would finish up, and it was worth the wait!

Sharon, it's beautiful as is. A blue binding will set it off just right.

Maggie, love your fishbone top, looking forward to seeing it finished.

Yes it is. LOL. I kept pulling out fabrics from my stash for a border but nothing fit...until I found a fantastic fabric (who knows what I originally bought it for). Hahaha. Now I'm trying to figure out what type of border to make. I hope we have a couple of more weeks because I have to get Halloween costumes out of the way or a four yr. old and five yr. old will be very disappointed. B

Sharon, I think your border is perfect as is.  Quilt it, add the blue binding, and enjoy!

bootz864:

Added a pieced border, the binding will be blue so do you think that will finish it or should I add one more strip of blue to the outside? what do you all think?

I think add another dark blue border and then bind it either in light blue or in blue/white stripe. LOVE this border and may copy if that is okay? I've been flirting with the idea of little pinwheels or diamonds in the border, but I like the squares with the little pinwheel corners. (Love the one with the pinwheel corners in the Media section too...perfect borders for that quilt in those colors!)
