There is no way that I can go back thru and post individually.  I did look at all the posts and think all the quilts are beautiful.  You ladies have really done my pattern proud.  I hope that each of you have enjoyed the journey with this mystery.  I have sure enjoyed watching everyone's progress.  I will check out the calendar tomorrow and give a completion date for voting.  I can already tell that it is going to be another close vote.

Ladies, I am so enjoying seeing everyone's finished products.  They are all so uniquely beautiful.

I decided that my squares were coming out too much like a Holiday quilt so I jumped out of the box and decided to make different blocks.  So, I will not post my end results until after the voting takes place.

Nana, I have really enjoyed working on this MQ and appreciate your efforts and  being part of a great group of helpful, sharing woman.. thank you one and all.

Nana,  when does our finished quilt need to be posted, to be considered for voting?

Whats this I'm the only one posting here?  All I can say is improvisation on this mq. miscalculated on squares for border, ran out of one fabric, looks like this one is gonna have triple border.  I think I'll be able to take a pic of finished top over weekend.

Is2116  we are keeping an eye on posts.  Frustrating to be short blocks. I knew I would be about 4 short so I decided to make a smaller one.  I might still go back and make borders, but I think I will leave it the size it is.  It will be perfect for DGS to snuggle in. I just need to get it finished!

Is,

I am doing a lot of catch up in bits and pieces.  I have about 2/3 of the cutting done.  Those pieces are mostly paired or in blocks.  Whatever I can get done at one time.  I am going to still try to have the top done this week, as I have scheduled surgery on my hand for Halloween.  So I will finish, but don't know if it will be with you others.

I've put on my first border ok looks great , now my second border which is pieced with wind mill blocks is about 2" too long on sides and i'm not sure how I'm going to remedy that ... either 2" of another pieced block or make one block on on the end of length an odd size ... the saga continues.  Maybe if I go out and come back with fresh brain I'll figure it out.  I did say the borders would have alot of improvization right?

I frequently have the same problem with pieced borders.  I know you will get it figured out.

well, got 6 rows sewed up today and now next week plan on sewing the rows together.  Not sure if I'll put a border on it or not, thinking not.  I really like it as it is without a border.

Thanks Nana and others for the encouragement.  I have learned one thing in all of this.  I always sew with my little foot which is a scant 1/4" and I always wondered why my quilts always come out measuring bigger than they are suppose to that is why.  So I  say not all 1/4" feet are created equal.  With mine I used it thinking I wouldn't be wasting fabric but that foot actually gives a seam that is barely over an eighthof an inch.  Lesson has been learned because this quilt top is growing.  I'm just too tired to sew right now and my top so far is measuring 81 x 95 .  So even though I was planning on queen size by the time I'm done with it  it probably be queen or king size quilted bedspread .  I'm just rambling on.

Helen:
Did you do that in EQ7?

Yes Helen I did.  I have had EQ software for many years.  I would recommend that you take the time to play with it. It is a great tool.
