wow, just loving everyones quilt tops. Enjoying my time here in Portland but want to get home to start assembling mine. I wish I had more contrast between fabric 1 and 2, everyone's seems to pop. Maybe mine will do a better job of it when it is assembled or some borders force it too.

Jo--great quilt!  your choice of colors really brings out both the pinwheel and diamond elements.  Really  nice!

Love the virtual quilt top!  Mine is still looking off because I did a dark back ground.  Just finished pressing my blocks.  Don't know when i'll be sewing them together yet.  Will try for sometime this week.

Woke up feeling pretty good today and since it is rainy outside, I think I'm going to do some sewing.  will have to pace myself but let's see how much I can get done.  so far, have 3 blocks complete but haven't finished all the HSTs yet, either.

Yeah, may be able to get mine in for the vote.  usually don't have it done far enough along but I am going to try real hard (with my limitations) to do so!

Love the virtual quilt!  I should do that...but then, I'll be spending time playing in EQ7 rather than sewing those HSTs together!!  I love how with some fabric combinations, the pinwheels hide and the o's shine as lead design.

What a great idea to try borders in EQ7. As a new user, I forget that it's not just for designing from scratch, Here's a couple of possibilities I am considering. DH really likes the pieced border, but I'm not sure that it isn't distracting from the design? What do you ladies think? Quilt is for Dad who won't know the difference - he'll just like it because I made it for him.

Sherrie,

I like the pieced border. I think it enhances rather than distracts from the design. Just one opinion.

Sherrie,

I agree the pieced border seems to enhance the designs.

I should've waited to see all the quilts to comment.  WOW, is what I will say, great quilts, great fabrics, to all you Speedy' s.  I'm not quite finished with my blocks but I did sew one of each one so I could see what they looked like.
