I just finished cutting squares, and used some other material.  They're floral and all have mauve pink in them.  my background will be dark.  Wasn't sure looking at yardage but once they are cut into squares i'm thinking it might work ok.  I'm gonna clean machine and get it ready for sewing after reading up on the step 2 questions.

New to these message boards - have belonged to QCA for a long time, but never got on the boards.  Have never done a mystery quilt before ... here are the colors I'm thinking of using.

They have had this pattern in different colors as a kit with Keepsake Quilting for a long time.  I love this design.

Hey, Jen-

I too have had this on my to-do list for a while. Bought the pattern AND enough fabric to do it in king-size - then decided I didn't like my fabric combination, so they went into the stash(or got used for other stuff). Still look at the pattern often, but too much other stuff going on right now. Someday..............

Thanks. I've had these fabrics for a long time. I was reading a blog about sewing room organization. The blogger said to go through your fabric and if it is over two years old, get rid if it. OMG, I decided I better just use it!  LOL Looks like I'm going to be making a LOT of quilts. Hahaha. I don't think she was being honest. Who would get rid of fabric? Once it's out of print you can't get it anymore. My DH doesn't understand my stash but then he hoardes bass fishing stuff and motorcycle stuff. ROTFL

Maggie , a lot of mine is older than 2 and I can't see myself getting rid of it any time soon. I have hopes of using it one day.
