Just finished this today.  It's a great lap quilt size 59 X 71 and I just have to find someone who loves pink and blue as much as I do.  I would keep it for myself, but if I'm sitting down I'm always hand quilting something, so I have no need for a lap quilt.

Coming from a newbie, how hard was it to make your border, and how did you come up with the idea?

By the way, I love it!

Thanks Teri

I saw a similar border in a book "Perfectly Pieced Borders" by Cindy Williams Onion Mountain Quilts.  I actually won the book last year.  It isn't a how-to on each of the borders, but more an idea book.  Since it didn't have specifics for a blocks I used grid paper to come up with a design that fit our 8 inch blocks.  The block was easy to construct, it just looks hard since it is set on point.   The corners were trickier, but I design a bunch on grid paper - someone told me that I should get EQ software, but I haven't spent the money for that yet.
