Enlarged the 9 patch from quilt body to the cornerstones for the border.

Marge, I like your corners.  They draw the light from the blocks out and don't add an additional color to the quilt. I had thought of a similar finish for mine - - - I have a lengthwise stripe to add for borders and thought that 9-patch would add a little interest to the corners and avoid mitering stripes.  I have done that a lot, but just don't seem in the mood for mitering right now.

Thanks, Marsha - I auditioned 5 different fabrics before coming back to the original dark - had to piece the border and have next to nothing left of it-very unusual for me. I know what you mean about mitering, one of my auditions would have done that.  It really is a cool way to finish a border.  Looking forward to seeing yours when it is done.
