Seems to be a consensus.  It is beautiful fabric. I actually have the fabric in three different floral sizes. Really large flowers, medium and small. The medium is what is pictured.

I'm thinking of an idea for the top that might bring some of the dark into the top just a little. This quilt may be for my sister-in-law who has an ancient cat that she loves desperately. Now, I'm really anxious to complete all the steps and see if my idea will work.

I'm finally getting around to doing this step, and hope to be done by tomorrow. I'm using a Sew Easy Guide , instead of drawing a line, you just guides the fabric along the guide lines. It's working great so far, I really hate drawing those lines.

Nana, so sorry to hear about your DH. It sounds like he is in good hands.

I am all caught up on MQ 8, just in time for the next step.

The photo is upside down, but you get the idea.

Everyones pieces are beautiful.  All the different colors are so luscious.   And no more tedious little pieces.   The hard part is done...yippee.

Thank you Helen. The dark fabric is actually shades of black and grey. My lighting is not very good. Starting to wish I would have chosen some of the bright, beautiful colors that others have. There are going to be some beautiful quilts here.

I got a late start, but have caught up.  Finished step 4.  What do you think about the border fabric.  I don't know if I will use it, but if I make this a gift for my daughter who lives in Boise it would be appropriate. (Boise State Broncos - colors are orange and blue)  If I don't give it to her I will use something else.
