Debbie:

since there's no posts open for step 4 I'll ask here - how many of the dark light dark should we still have?  I don't recall it being mentioned, a number anyway.

Only half went into the 9- patchs so you should have 36. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Dara your colors remind me of oranges and lemons, my two favorite fruits.  Looking great!

Shelia, do you have a plan for your 5 quilts? I cant imagine doing it, have you posted any pictures of all your color combos? I don't know if I missed that part.

Ginny,

I have no plans for these quilts, other than to finish them!  I suppose I can come up with a few people to give them to...... and yes, I have posted a few photos here and there, but they don't show the color combos very well.  I am starting to really like my choices, and, every now and then, I will hold the pieces up to their respective border choices, just to see if I'm still on the right track!

As of now, I am finishing the pressing of Quilt #1's Step 4.....only 4 more to go!

Been busy trying to catch up and getting step 3 done.  Some 9 patches aren't perfect and difficult to do with arthritic fingers but am pleased with getting this step accomplished!

Marilyn B:

No worries Leslie you are not the only one.  I have my 9 patches done but not sewn to the others yet and I still have some of my hst to mark.  I hope to catch up this weekend as the weather here is rain and freezing rain so not doing anything in the garden.

Marilyn,  I am still working on the 1 inch strips LOL

hi Marilyn and Linda...three one inch strips minus 2(1/4) in. seams on either side of the dark PLUS  minus the 2(1/4) in seams on one side of each of the lights...equals 2 inches...(the light would become 3/4 each and the dark would become 1/2 in at completion of step #2)  Perhaps by this time someone else responded in a less complicated manner...but hey, mine turned out OK..Yes, a bit tedious, but am eager to see each new step...I just made a sample of Steps, #3, and # 4, so now I can continue more leisurely..????Will tackle the HST's after a week of being with grandchildren...
