Here are all my MQ8 quilt crumbs, all nestled snugly in their beds.  Towards the end of the cutting stage, I was slicing 18 strips at a time!  No, not stacked 18 deep, but staggered across the cutting board in an elaborate setup with weights and bars and rulers and who-knows-what!  It was very gutsy, but it worked!

Well, then, the pressure is on to come up with a unique border idea!

Are you going to be ready for the next clue on Friday?   By the way, are you back at work or still on furlough?

MNnancy:

The cutting isn't difficult using the June Tailer Shape Cut slotted tool whichever way you stack them.  The sewing & pressing is the time-consuming part of step 2.

I kept thinking about the Shape Cut tool the whole time I was cutting.  I kept wishing I had one.  Until now I didn't really see the need for one.  LOL

Love seeing everyone's bitsy pieces all cut and ready.  I haven't started sewing yet - - - needed to finish up taxes - DONE AND PRINTED TODAY!!! and also promised myself I would finish quilting at least 4 wheelchair quilts before continuing with this quilt.  I have 3 1/2 quilted including my 2 blue MQ 7s.  I just have to finish the middle of the diagonally slashed MQ 7.  Hope to get pictures soon.  They still need binding, but that is a relaxing project for me and goes quickly.  Will do that after this step of MQ 8 and maybe the next step.  I have finally gotten to feeling like quilting again - - - the therapy I have been having is helping release the muscle tension which was causing so much pain and fatigue.  Hope it lasts!!!

Hopefully I will also get pictures of progress on MQ 8 - if I get to it.  (And if I get on this site again!!  I have been trying unsuccessfully for a week and have had to read posts in the emails - a lengthy process!!)

PS:  I can't live without my shape cut ruler!  I have nearly worn this one out and would gladly buy a new one when I need it.
