Hello Everyone
The group is now open for membership. I will be out of town until about March 10 so will not be here to answer questions as quickly as usual. The first actual step for the mystery will be posted in the Workshop on March 15.
I thought we were to get our fabric requirements today. Did I misunderstand?
I was hoping so, too Leone. Still haven't narrowed down my fabrics since don't know how much I need.

I think the group opened up on March 1, the fabric requirements will come March 15....
Hi, Debbie! Glad to see you're in this group!
Ladies
If you buy 3 yds each of a dark and a light fabric you will be fine. That is the same thing I told all the retreat ladies that wanted to buy their fabrics while at retreat. You may have a little left over but not much.
I gather this is going to be a two color or 2 fabric quilt..... so fat quarters are not in order.
OK folks the countdown is on. The first step will post sometime after midnight tomorrow night. Anticipation......
For the benefit of those that were not at the retreat, please elaborate on material. Is this, indeed, a two color quilt? And this information was to be posted. Where will it be posted?
Susie,
go back up a few posts. The fabric requirements and cutting will be posted tomorrow in the mystery quilt workshop. You can get to it from the link on the left side of the home page.
Today on my lunch break, I resisted the urge to go to the LQS and went to Goodwill instead. I lucked out and found a queen sized duvet cover that's made out of high quality 100% cotton sateen fabric. It's a solid yellow/gold color that I think would look great with cream or white. LOTS of great fabric for $5.59. :) I may be able to use that as my "dark" in MQ8 and possibly still have enough left over to also make it the backing.
I also found a white, king-sized sheet that I'll use for something. It has narrow stripes (white on white), which I really like, but idk if it will work for the MQ8, so I may get something different for my "ligh" for MQ8. I'm picturing a sort of off-white batik.
I'm *almost* done with my current border on the Round Robin, so I'm going to finish that up this weekend before touching anything else, but this is in the back of my mind, waiting for my next lull in projects. :)
I have done very little machine piecing, so I am about to show my ignorance...what the heck does "WOF" mean??? Thanks so much for your help!

Hi Nana, and fellow quilters.
I am so excited about another mystery quilt. cant wait to go to the storage shed and dig through the fabric tomorrow. Should be great fun.
It is a bright and sunny day here along the Wasatch Front. Hope to get some quilting in a little later. I have a craft fair comming up next week end. need to get some little stuff for that put together.
Have a great day, and see you soon
