I loved the squares and the colors. I spent several days trying to make it work but because of the contrast of the colors I chose, I had a black red and white mess. After much fuss, my friend came over and suggested a simple black between each block. I like this much better. My apologies to Nana for not following the instructions thoroughly.

Hey, it's your quilt-this is a great way to overcome a problem! Looks fantastic!
Wow! I really like what this does for your quilt! It looks great!
What a great idea! I've got to go into my stash and see if it helps mine also. Mine seems a bit too scrappy.
I like it. I was thinking of doing the same same thing. Haven't put mine together yet, so I still might put a small sashing between mine, too.
Yeah, this was kind of a blah mystery quilt. I think you added a bit of pizzaz to it. I thought I was way behind on this quilt and just found step 3 now I'm glad I didn't make it.
I think this looks great with the sashing in it.
LOVE what you did to this!!! Red/White/Black... always a good color combination.
Very nice combination.
I like very much the interpretation that so many have done o this MQ. I think the black framing gives this top just the right touch balance. Very nice. I haven't seen it posted in the media, but I may have missed it.
