Quilting with 3 dogs in Massachusetts
Hi it's Jenny again, and I have been watching all your finishes!!! Congratulations to all of you. I love how different they all are. They are all beautiful and I hope you all enjoyed this mystery!
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Here is my finished MQ 7, Christmas Surprise. Thanks to Nana for running this mystery. It was a lot of fun.
The name of the quilt says it all.... "Spilled Paint."
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
I finished my MQ7 and I'm pleased with the results, even though I veered off from the given directions. I plan to add a light batting, quilt it and as a table cloth. It could be used for a lap quilt also. I love the bright Christmas colors and the cute snowmen (I'm partial to them!). It puts me in the spirit of the season.
My finished MQ7 top made of scraps from my stash.
I finally put the borders on. Not quite like the pattern called for, but it is what it is! Interestingly enough, all of the fabric is vintage feedsack material from a farm auction. The fabric worked out great for this pattern. After Christmas I will piece some more feedsacks for the backing. I am going to use ones with words printed, like "Turkey feed", "Alfalfa Seed", "Salt", etc
This is my finished quilt. My Grandson has already claimed this one.
