If anyone has questions please just ask and I will try to point you in the right direction. Sorry it took me so long to respond to this step. The few times I have had time to get to the computer the site was down.

Are we sewing all of the block together as in the last picture of the step 3 instructions?
Yes. In this step you finish the blocks and then sew them into the rows and then sew the rows. Next Friday we will start on borders.
my blocks measure 8 1/2 x 9. do we use them like that or square them up before sewing all together?
Yes, they go in a row (side by side) and then the rows are put together. If you don't turn the blocks, they don't need to be square. Just up and down alternating and you will be fine.
Why did it not say this in the directions? I trimmed mine to 81/2 cause they were not square and would not fit when rotating blocks to my liking. It did not say to lay side by side. I would have done this instead of cutting. Is there any way to make them square to begin with by increasing part of any of the cutting directions?
Hi Nana! Can you tell me if I''m missing something? I don't see the border step posted, yet...
Thanks!
For the record, I am very grateful that you have taken this mystery quilt on for all of us. I have been enjoying it, every bit of the way...
Take care!

Hello All,
There has been a small hiccup with the directions. I want to make sure they are correct before I post them. I apologize for any inconvenience, but I would rather have them late and correct than posted now and not correct. Thanks for understanding :)

I am getting a late start on the MQ7 and was just getting ready to cut my strips when I decided to check to see if there were any changes to original instructions. Are there any changes in the cutting instructions and step 2? Does the above message from QCA Admin concern step 3 or 4?

Thanks for letting us know that the Step 4 will be later than planned...I agree it's better late than doing the Step 4 wrong :)) Thanks again for doing the mystery quilt!! I am enjoying this one a lot!

All of the posted instructions are correct. We are just late getting the next step out. I had surgery on Wed and really messed up the flow of info to all of you. I have checked with Admin and think that we will have the next step posted on Mon. Sorry for the inconvience.
Just take your time getting well! The rest of us can wait a few days. God bless you!
Nana, thanks for answering my question. I truly hope you are feeling better today!!
I just completed sewing my blocks together in step 3 and am ready to sew the rows together. I remember reading some post about people squaring up their blocks. What size are the blocks suppose to be?
If you leave them the way they are, they are not square, they will be 8.5" x 9". Some of the ladies squared theirs up and then changed the pattern.
