The winner of Viewer's Choice does not receive any ribbons or prizes. You will, however, win the praise and congratulations of your fellow quilters! I hope everyone who participated in mQ6 will post a picture of their completed top here. It does not have to be quilted.

You will have until June 15th to complete your top and post a picture in this thread. You will then have until June 22nd to send me your vote in a Friends Private Message and I will post the winner on June 25th.

Newbie's Tips for Step 2.

These are just a couple of tips to help our Newbie's with this step.

Start by drawing a line from corner to corner on the back of your 2.5” square.

Lay this square right sides together on the corner of your 4.5” background square and center the line you drew in the middle of your presser foot. Then adjust your needle position one to two positions to the right of center. This will allow for the thickness of the thread and folding the fabric so that your small square will extend to the edge of your background square.

Check to be sure that your small square extends out to the edge of the background square after it is pressed, then trim your seam to ¼”.

And, yes, the directions do say to cut 628 2-1/2" squares!
