I made the smaller number of quilt blocks. I'm thinking of using my black background fabric for the sashing. This would cause the patterns to float and I am curious to see how this would look. The plan is to use it for a baby quilt, since I am expecting two grandchildern next Spring - both my daughters are pregnant. I need to find something cheery to use for my border.

Your grand baby will love these bright blocks floating on a black background. A bright border will be great!  Congrats on the quilt and the grandchildren! Judy

Pamela your quilt blocks are beautiful!  Your border could be one of the fabric you used or piano keys would look nice too.

These are such Pretty colors on the black background. Just add a bright border and you are all set!

Angele -

I had also thought about doing piano keys. I don't have enough of any of the fabrics for a border, but have lots of 30's fat quarters that I could cut strips from. Maybe add a black strip here and there. You've got me thinking!
