Finally! Two years to complete but hopefully my niece will like it. She plans to be a Florida Gator in a couple of years.

I have a question about the HST's. I know all of you have made this already and it is pretty much over for all of you but I decided that I really liked the look of everyone's quilts so I am making this one for my nephew. However I am stuck on step 3 the 3 7/8 squares that we are making into HST's, what size do they get trimed down to? mine all measure 3 1/2 " is that the right measurement for these?

I wanted to use up some stash for this quilt and had purchsed these fabrics from Joann's around 2006. They have metallic sparkley leaves and stripes and the fabric is lovely. My off white spaces looked blah, so I cropped and embroidery design and placed it in the center. On the final block of the border I created a design and fused it onto the block at an angle so that as the corner lays off the bed it will hang straight. Loved doing this. Thanks Nana.

It's past midnight, so it's the 22nd. I am not going to get this done. The borders are attached, and now I have figured out how to do the corners right, but it will take about 3 hours, and I have no more time this week. This is going to be a killer week at work the next two days, have some deadlines I have to meet. I am anticipating a couple 12 hour days. Maybe after Thanksgiving I will finish this top.

Thanks Nana, it has been a wonderful adventure. And a truly beautiful pattern.

I am not going to finish in time for Viewers choice .I want to thank you for the wonderful pattern and the patience you have shown in getting us to the grand finale.All the quilts are beautiful.I am 1 border away from being finished but it is just not there.Visits from children kind of put me behind but love the time I get to spend with them so I will finish tomorrow and the world will not come to an end. Thanks again Nana.
