I mailed my Birthday Surprise to Melissa today...yeah, I know I'm late but hopefully she will have it by Monday or Tuesday since she's only about 100 miles from me.

Hi Brigit-Carol - Sorry I didn't get this posted earlier. I did get it on Friday but I've had car trouble again so I was a little distracted. I took a picture of it but my computer is acting up so until my daughter can get up to check it out, I won't be able to post it. I love the beautiful scarf you sent. I don't usually get very many birthday cards because my birthday is so close to Mother's day. My family just lumps them together. So I have the adorable card you sent on my mantle. I love the awl and the pink stylist. Thank you so much. It also took me all afternoon to get on this site. Again, I'm sorry I was so slow in getting this posted.

I have not heard from Melissa personally, but she does still appear to be active on the site.

I didn't know where to post this so here we go. A few months ago I sent a pm to Chicagosigner as I hadn't heard from her for a while. I just got a message yesterday. Two months ago Chicago suffered a bad heart attack and was in rehab until two weeks. She asked me to Lyell you all that she apologizes for not sending any birthday surprises as she was unable to. She also hopes you understand and are not mad now that you know. As soon as she can Chicago will connect with you all.

Mailman's here! Got everyone's presents and I am so blessed to have wonderful quilting buddies like Pat, Christine, Bridget-Carol and Jean. A purple purse and I don't remember now who sent it but I love it! 5 FQs, a layer cake, flag pot holder and mug rugs, purple (YES!) ducktape, a sewing kit, small scissors and dark chocolate, Ghiradelli, oh be still my heart!! Thank you all for making this a very memorable birthday. your generosity to someone you barely know is beyond measure.

waiting on the mailman to show up, hate that we don't get our mail till after 3:00 - sometimes almost 5. I'll see a truck in the neighborhood earlier in late morning but they are on a different route. I ;love checking the mail and having surprises. my family doesn't surprise me very often. My 50th, they did pull off a surprise birthday party.

Got my surprise from Pat today and couldn't wait to open. Love the US flag pot holder and mug rugs, and I feel another purple quilt coming on
