Tami

I am not sure exactly how much fabric they mean by "assorted light florals" .  I personally picked a varied selection of fabrics at 1/2 yd to 1 yd cuts.   If I run out I will just get some more.   When we start actually putting the blocks together we can always move blocks around so that all the fabrics are scattered.

Hi Susan,

For the light beige, I have 8 different fabrics that I'm going to use.  When I find the camera, again, I'll post a photo.

I can lose so much in my studio, it's a wonder I get anything done! LOL

Susan, I am also. I had a lady at one of the shops at my retreat tell me that was really more authentic if I wanted to be particular. She even suggested using two different backgrounds in one block since that is what they would have done then. That's just a thought. It sounds like your shirtings will be fine if they are close to the same value.

Roxana,

What a good idea. I never really thought much about it but I am sure if they had 7 yrds of material it probably wouldnt go into a quilt to start with

Hey!  While you all are going through your stashes,  how about pulling out some red and white fabric and sign up for the Happy Heart swap?  It's a quick and easy block and will be finished before you know it!

You know you can fit one more itty bitty little swap in before we all start this beast :)

Hope to see you ther!
